David Mannion is the Founder and Strategic Growth Advisor of Haven Growth Advisors, a business advisory firm dedicated to helping privately held companies unlock operational efficiency, financial clarity, and scalable growth. With over 22 years of senior executive experience spanning capital markets, enterprise sales, and operational leadership, David brings boardroom-level strategic thinking directly to business owners who need it most.

David founded Haven Growth Advisors to bring institutional-caliber advisory to private business owners who are too often underserved by the marketplace. Through the firm, he provides fractional CFO/COO services, revenue growth strategy, financial controls, operational efficiency systems, AI-enabled lead generation, leadership and executive coaching, and capital advisory to founders and executives navigating growth, transition, or transformation.

He is also the Founder of Boardroom10, a private virtual peer advisory program designed exclusively for business owners doing $1 million to $10 million in revenue. Boardroom10 connects vetted operators in intimate cohorts of ten for bi-weekly advisory sessions facilitated by David — giving members the kind of strategic peer accountability that was previously only available to large-company executives.

Previous work experience

David's career has been defined by his ability to drive transformational results in complex, high-stakes environments. As Chief Operating Officer at MC Companies — a vertically integrated national real estate investment platform with over $1.3 billion in assets under management — he managed a $130 million revenue P&L, raised $367 million in combined debt and equity capital, and grew total assets under management (AUM) by more than 39% in just under 18 months. He also spearheaded the acquisition of more than 1,500 units and secured a landmark strategic partnership with a $300 billion New York-based private equity firm.

Prior to MC Companies, David served as Senior Vice President and Head of Real Estate Finance at VEREIT, Inc. (NYSE: VER), a publicly traded commercial real estate platform with $24 billion in assets under management and $1.3 billion in annual revenues. There, he led all capital markets activities — sourcing and managing more than $6 billion in unsecured debt, overseeing bank syndications across 20+ global institutional lenders, and co-managing the strategic sale of Cole Capital to an institutional fund manager. He chaired the company's Finance Committee and reviewed and signed off on all 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings.

Before VEREIT, David built and led the advisory and asset services platform at Sequoia Equity Partners, a national capital markets advisory and investment firm based in San Diego, California. He personally sourced and closed over $355 million in restructuring and recapitalization engagements, built a six-person enterprise sales team that generated over $1 billion in qualified pipeline, and managed capital relationships representing $4 billion in balance sheet equity.

Earlier in his career, David served as Vice President of Special Assets and Portfolio Management at BOFI Federal Bank (now Axos Bank, NYSE: AX), where he single-handedly created the bank's Special Assets department during the post-financial crisis period. He developed the regulatory compliance framework from scratch, resolved $30 million in non-performing loans from the balance sheet, and averted FDIC receivership — all while passing two OCC audits and managing a portfolio exceeding $1.4 billion.
